Lithuanian Grand Duke Algirdas

"Lithuanian Grand Duke Algirdas (1296 11 February - 1377 on 24 May) - Lithuanian Grand Duke (1345-1377 m.) son of Gediminas. It was twice married and had several daughters and 6 or 7 children, of which most famous is Jagiello, Skirgaila and Svitrigaila. Before becoming the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Algirdas ruled the Duchy of Alberta (since 1318). In 1345, assisted by his brother Kestutis, he conquered the power of another brother - cadets. Kestutis, then become submonarch GDL, GDL took care of relations with the Teutonic Knights and Poland (Algirdas management during the ethnic Lithuania survived the devastating ~ 100 Crusader raids and held a counter ~ 40 raids on German Order of holdings), and the same Algirdas operated mostly in the east, expanding and strengthening the power GDL current Belarusian and Ukrainian lands.
